Apollo A7LB PGA

The museum has a spacesuit exhibit showing the various garments that astronauts wear which includes an A7LB Pressure Garment Assembly (PGA). The A7LB was a version of the original Apollo A7L spacesuit which was modified to improve mobility and allow astronauts to sit, enabling the use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV).

As its name implies, the PGA was the pressure-retaining portion of the suit. It would have been covered with an Integrated Thermal Micrometeoroid Garment (ITMG), the familiar white layer which reflected sunlight and helped protect the PGA from abrasion.

I have a number of resources regarding the Apollo spacesuit.

As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of this suit, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures.
