My first indication that work was being done on the Saturn was when I stepped out into the Rocket Park and had to wait for a forklift carrying away an F-1 engine nozzle extension. A quick look at the S-IC showed that the nozzle extensions, fins, and fairings had been removed.

As the nozzle extension is rather tall and blocked the driver's view, the forklift was driving backwards, in the general direction of the Saturn V replica.

I would soon find out that this was the third nozzle extension to have been moved.
