Detail of what appears to be a piece of ground support equipment, presumably used to lock the trunion axis drive motor and resolvers and the gyros to the base for handling.

While handling the rendezvous radar at the Air Zoo, the trunion and primary reflector moved around quite readily, requiring two people to move the antenna. I can certainly see the value in such a lock.
