LM Rendezvous Radar Antenna

The Lunar Module's Rendezvous Radar Antenna was mounted on the top of the LM's ascent stage, directly above the hatch. There was no indication as to the heritage of this antenna, but I assume it must have been some sort of engineering test unit, as all flight antennas remained attached to their lunar modules and were either jettisoned in lunar orbit or (in the case of Apollo 5, Apollo 9, and Apollo 13) burned up in the Earth's atmosphere. Also see the info page which I've prepared.

The antenna is visible in my pictures of LM-2, LM-9, and LTA-8. I also have additional pictures of an LM Rendezvous Radar Antenna at Stafford Air & Space.
