The engine's fuel additive blender unit, clad in its red heater assembly. The heater assembly kept the FABU's Oronite additive warm enough to provide proper lubricative properties, guarding against the cold of the liquid oxygen.

Fuel would enter the FABU's inlet port via the braided line toward the top of this photo, mix with the Oronite, exit the FABU through the outlet port near the bottom of this photo, and be routed to the turbopump's gearbox via the line with the yellow tape.
