Apollo Boilerplate BP-1210 |
The museum displays Apollo boilerplate BP-1210 in the parking lot to the west of the museum, in their "Path of Honor," a series of commemorative bricks encircling the boilerplate. BP-1210 was transferred to the museum in the 2008-2009 timeframe, having previously been located at Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse in Enid, OK (Skylab and Shuttle astronaut Owen Garriott's home town). I visited the museum over the course of two days in 2016; the first day was overcast while the second day was sunny. Of course, a sunny day can mean harsh light and deep shadows, so for some views I chose the shot from the cloudy day. |
