I'm not certain if this is a flight-type engine or simply a mockup. The nozzle extension looks like a high-fidelity article, although some sort of metal plate covers the throat of the engine (perhaps at the interface between the thrust chamber proper and the nozzle extension). I don't believe that LTA-8 ever did participate in any propulsion-related tests, so it seems likely that a mockup was used.
