C-47

The Museum of Aviation features a WWII exhibit, with a C-47 in invasion markings, flying over over a chapel and deploying a parachutist. Below, a Waco CG-4A glider has fallen prey to German glider defense poles.

Behind the hedgerow, the visitor is able to see the interior of the Waco glider. There's also a cut-away C-47 fuselage, depicting its crew and its jump-ready parachutists.
