The Pegasus satellite was used by NASA to record meteoroid impact on its instrumented surface and report back to Earth. Launched by a Saturn I vehicle, the data reported helped NASA engineers design spacecraft that would safely withstand meteor strikes. Size 14 ft by 96 ft deployed.
