Ares I Upper Stage Mockup

During my October 2008 tour, a garage bay on the south side of Building 4205 held plywood and PVC pipe mockups of the Ares I frustum, interstage, and aft end of the second stage, built to verify that the components can be serviced in the VAB or on the pad.

Barack Obama would cancel the Constellation program less than a year and a half after this visit.
