The F-1 rocket engine in its "forever home."

Picture 1 of 4.

This photo was taken immediately after installation, dramatically silhouetted by the work lights used during the installation.

The F-1 engine would be joined by an XRS-2200 linear aerospike engine and a NERVA nuclear engine, although I am uncertain as to when they were installed (Google Earth imagery shows them installed by September 2010). A Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) would join them in November 2012.
