Mercury MR-1 Spacecraft

For a time, Mercury Spacecraft #2, which would have been launched on the MR-1 mission (aka the "4-inch flight") and was successfully launched on the MR-1A mission, was displayed at the Kennedy Space Center. Some time between June 2004 and June 2005, it was replaced with the unflown Mercury Spacecraft #12B.

Since I was planning on returning to KSC the next summer, I didn't take too many photos of this spacecraft -- just enough for planning purposes. As it turns out, I missed my chance!

The Field Guide lists NASA Ames Research Center as the currently location of the MR-1 spacecraft.
