Grissom Air Museum

Grissom Air Museum is located near Peru, Indiana (about an hour and a half north of Indianapolis).

Strictly speaking, it's not named after Gus Grissom; rather, it's named after the nearby Grissom Air Force Base (which is named after Grissom, having previously been Bunker Hill AFB). The museum does have a few paintings and posters of Grissom, but it's really mostly about the planes.

Bunker Hill saw a good number of Strategic Air Command planes in its day, and so a lot of the displays are about those planes. I gravitate more towards the World War II planes, so you'll see more of those on these pages than the Cold War planes.
