This airless, wire-mesh tire used on the Apollo lunar rover was developed by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and NASA's Glenn Research Center.

Goodyear's claim to the having developed the LRV tires is subject to controversy (not least among the GM retirees who actually designed them), but Goodyear has developed tires for future lunar rovers.
