Lunar Sample 15059

This sample is glass-covered breccia that was collected approx. 15 meters south of Station 8 - ALSEP (Apollo Lunar Science Experiment Package) central station. The parent sample weighed 1,149.2 grams. The sample displayed is 1.818 grams and was collected by Apollo 15 astronaut Jim Irwin. This sample is over 3,000,000,000 years old.
