F-1 Disassembly

Most of the components were stored in one laboratory. In addition to the F-1 engine they disassembled, the team obtained a number of additional components, include a spare heat exchanger and the cut-away turbopump from the Smithsonian.

The thrust chamber was too large to fit through the doors of the lab, so it was in a different area. At the time we visited, the gas generator and its injector were in a different lab and we were unable to view them.
