The gas generator would normally bolt onto the manifold's inlet. The hot gases would then enter the turbine manifold, flow through the first-stage nozzles, onto the stage-one turbine wheel, be redirected by the stage-two nozzles onto the stage-two turbine wheel, and exit to the heat exchanger.
