Overall walk-around of the engine's interface panel.

Picture 5 of 6.

Very early engines had no interface panel, while this block of engines had a cast interface panel. The next block of engines had a fabricated interface panel.

Even though this block of engines' interface panel were equipped with a cast interface panel, it looks like there are various parts which appear to have been fastened to it (which would mean "fabricated" in my mind). The F-1 at Science Museum Oklahoma has another unusual interface panel, one which appears to be entirely cast. The engines on the S-IC at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center are all serialized engine mockups (reflecting a very early engine configuration) and engines from the same production block as this engine, and they, too have an interface panel which differs from the one on this engine.

So, I'm not entirely sure what to make of this interface panel.
