Here's an observation from my wife:

Since Gene Cernan was the last human to have stood on the moon, and (at the time we visited in 2008, prior to Barack Obama cancelling Project Constellation) looked like the last human to do so until at least 2020, she wondered whether the "Please, Do Not Climb" sign was a plea to not abandon the moon.

This page was most recently edited in mid-2025, so she was even more right than she knew.
