Walk-around of the nose of the aircraft. Picture 3 of 7. The paint has started peeling off of some of the panel, revealing that the panels are actually Plexiglas. Vintage photos of the 6065 and 6066 (the two XB-47s) show that the two smaller panels at aft were windows, but show the two aircraft with a clear nose, without the typical B-47 protuberances. The XB-47 also lacks the refueling receptacle in the nose. | ||||
