Minuteman III

Chanute Air Force Base served as a training facility for Minuteman missile maintenance crews, and so an LGM-30G Minuteman III serves as a gate guardian at the former west gate to the base.

One of the museum staff lamented the crews removing aircraft from the museum in preparation for its closing, and laughingly said that he'd like to see someone take the Minuteman, as it was filled with concrete.
