If the spacecraft would have lost pressurization during the mission, the astronauts would have donned their spacesuits for the remainder of the flight. In order to eat or drink, the astronaut would remove the feedport's cover, revealing a small hole with a flap on the inside; this flap would ordinarily be held in place by the suit's internal pressure. The astronaut would then be able to drink water via a water gun whose tip passed through the hole and eat food from containers with a similar spout.
