A7L Suit Connector Cover Assembly
Early versions of the Apollo A7L suit had provisions for a suit connector cover assembly. It was a padded piece of Betacloth which would snap onto the front of the suit to, as the equipment's name would indicate, cover the suit connectors. The snaps (along with "pile" Velcro strips) are visible in various photos, such as in this Apollo 10 crew portrait, on Cernan and Stafford's suits. I do not believe that the cover was ever used during any mission. As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of the cover assembly, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures.
