Grissom Liberty Bell 7 Suit

The Grissom suit was the first thing which greeted the visitor upon entering the main gallery.

It display case in which it was located was lit from the bottom with lights which constantly changed not only in intensity but also in color, giving the suit an almost ghoulish appearance (not to mention making photography exceptionally difficult).

The Grissom Memorial also displays what is stated to be Grissom's MR-4 flight helmet. Strictly speaking, the AHOF's signage only claimed that the suit was the flight suit, so I suppose they could claim that only the suit (and not the helmet) was worn on the flight ...
