The sign accompanying the ICG. It reads

Apollo 8 Flight Jacket

Courtesy Jim Lovell

This flight suit jacket, made of cloth strengthened and fireproofed with fiberglass and coated with Teflon, was worn inside Apollo 8. Do you see the many pockets, metal snaps, and Velcro fasteners? Find the patches of the US flag, NASA, and the image of the Apollo 8 flight. The "8" also stands for the shape of the "figure 8" around the moon and back to earth. Note the names of the astronauts "Borman Lovell Anders" at the bottom of this patch. Which one wore this suit?
