B-25 Doolittle Raider |
The museum displays their B-25 in a diorama depicting the Doolittle raid, with the nose gear lashed to the deck of an aircraft carrier and the engines and gun turret under protective coverings. The B-25 is painted with a tail number of "02344" (40-2344), the plane that Doolittle piloted on the raid. Displayed as a B-25B, the gun turret is located aft of the bomb bay. On later models, the gun turret is forward of the bomb bay. As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of the B-25, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures. |
