The auxiliary power plant (aka "putt-putt"), located on the port side of the fuselage, just forward of the tail, opposite the fuselage door. This is a generator which powers the electrical system until the main engines are started. There's a plaque on it which reads Ground fuel container to air plane structure before refueling auxiliary engine to prevent fire caused by static electricity. Picture 3 of 3. | ||||
