I believe that the screen on the end of the center fitting was added when the stage was displayed outdoors and would not be present for flight stages.

I was surprised to see in launch videos (e.g., video 1, video 2) that, unlike the liquid hydrogen fill/drain fitting, the LOX fill/drain fitting had no aerodynamic fairing.
