Vent holes on the aft end of the forward skirt.

The S-II stage had an engine compartment conditioning system which purged the S-II engine and interstage area of hazardous gases; some of the nitrogen gas used in this purge process exited the vehicle via these four holes (and other vents like it around the S-IC forward skirt).
