Mobile Lunar Laboratory (MOLAB)

In the 1963-64 timeframe, NASA investigated the use of a "Mobile Laboratory" (MOLAB), a lunar roving vehicle which would provide a shirt-sleeve environment for astronauts exploring the moon. While a 1G version was created, the program was eventually cancelled.

See "NASA's Moon-Bound Geology Lab that Never Quite Got Off the Ground" for additional information.
