The lines running into the heat exchanger are the helium and oxidizer supply and return lines; cold helium and oxidizer were fed into the heat exchanger, where heat from the gas generator expanded the gases, which where then used to pressurize the fuel (helium) and LOX (GOX) tanks.

The silver tabs on the hatbands mount the studs used to support the engine's thermal insulation.

This picture was taken during the Saturn V restoration; one of the S-IC's fin/fairings appears at the the bottom left of this picture.
