A boot sole and a "tall" A6L type boot.

On the sole, note how the heel and toe crescents are relatively narrow, having a similar border as the other sole ribs, and how the vertical ribs at the boot's toe (at bottom in this photo) extend all the way to the bottom of the sole. Contrast this with the extended heel and toe crescents and the shorter vertical ribs and more substantial lower toe on the A7L/A7LB boot.

The tall boot appears to incorporate the later sole design, with the more substantial lower toe used by the A7L.
