Once these jacks are in place, the hydraulic rams will lower the stage onto these hardwood jacks. The hydraulic rams will be removed, hardwood jacks will be placed where the rams had been, and then the rams will be placed on top of those jacks. In this way, the smaller rams will be used to incrementally raise the ends of the stage.
