Crawler-Transporter Tread

The museum displays a crawler-transporter tread (also variously described as "shoes" or "cleats").

Each crawler-transporter has four trucks, which each have two belts or tracks, which in turn each have 57 treads, shoes, or cleats, for a total of 456 treads on each crawler-transporter.
