Apollo Fuel Cell

The Apollo mission was too long to rely on batteries for power. Instead, the Service Module housed three fuel cells. Fed by liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen tanks, the fuel cell combined the hydrogen and oxygen, creating electrical power and water. The water was used for drinking and for reconstituting dehydrated food.

The fuel cell is displayed along with an Apollo Service Module liquid oxygen tank of the type which supplied the fuel cell.
