Overall view of lower end of Launch Escape System (LES) tower and its interface with the Command Module (CM). The white cover appears to be the forward portion of the Boost Protective Cover (BPC), although it appears to be rotated 180° (note the two openings for the pitch thrusters at the bottom; they should be be located at the top, just forward of the crew hatch).

I have additional pictures of where the upper tower leg and lower tower leg attach to the CM.
