Kennedy Golf Cart

President Kennedy visited the McDonnell plant in St. Louis on the afternoon of September 12, 1962 for a briefing on the Mercury and Gemini programs and to make a speech. (Earlier on that day he gave his famous "we choose to go to the moon" speech at Rice University in Houston.)

The museum displays the golf cart in which he was driven around the plant. Next to the golf cart is a Gemini spacecraft made on that line.
