A sign describing a diorama. It reads

British Commando

As early as June 1940, Winston Churchill decided to organize the "small scale raiding force." The men recruited among those having 7 or 8 years of military service were trained near Plymouth. A first raid was launched on the 23rd of June 1940 near Boulongne/Mer and a second on July 14 on the Channel Islands. During the night of 12/13 September 1942 another one was launched at St. Laurent/Mer "The Aquatint Raid."
