View of the front of the LRV.

At left front is the high gain antenna.

The white boxes on the LRV's front are the batteries. The batteries have hinged covers which can be lifted to expose the batteries' radiators, allowing the batteries to cool. The covers remain down while the LRV is underway to protect the radiators from the lunar dust.

On the LRV's front right is the television camera.

At rear are the two seats, which folded down when the LRV was folded and stowed on the Lunar Module. Under the seats are white stowage bags for lunar samples or other items which required stowing.

In front of the seats are the control & display console and the T-shaped hand controller.

To the right of the console, largely obscured by the flash glare, is the 16 mm data acquisition camera (DAC), more commonly known as a movie camera.
