Lunar Module Cockpit

This is a full-size mock-up of the interior of a Lunar Module. It is identical in appearance to the cockpits of the Lunar Modules that landed on the Moon.

The two astronauts stand before the windows as they control the craft during descent to the lunar surface, and later, during ascent from the Moon.

The Lunar Module attitude is controlled by 16 rockets which can be fired automatically or manually.
