F-1 Test Stand Observation Bunker

Located just north of the F-1 Engine Test Stand is the stand's observation bunker (Google Maps link). A reinforced concrete bunker built into a mound of earth, it provided engineers with the closest position from which to observe a static firing. The bunker was equipped with a test termination button and an intercom system for communicating with engineers in the blockhouse.
