A nozzle extension igniter boss, with its protective closure (located beneath the heat exchanger).

The turbine exhaust, fed into the nozzle extension to provide film cooling, was fuel-rich. Two igniters on the nozzle extension reignited the gas in the nozzle extension.

Picture 1 of 2.

The closure reads "Caplugs B-388-8".
