During a recent trip, I stayed at a motel outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The motel's web site said that it was located in Coraopolis, but all of the street signs indicated that it was Moon Township. Considering how much time, money, and effort this country spent to land a man on the moon in the 1960s, I thought it funny to see that I had landed in Moon quite by accident!

Sign at the entrance to the Moon Senior High School. The school apparently serves both Moon and the nearby Crescent Township. I wonder if there was ever any consideration to calling it the "Crescent-Moon High School" ...
