When most people think of Apollo space suit gloves, they usually think of the EVA (extravehicular activity) gloves with the grey palm and back hand areas and the blue fingertips. However, these were only worn on moonwalks and spacewalks. During other phases of the mission which required the astronauts to be suited up, they wore intravehicular gloves such as these.

The black palm strap was used to prevent ballooning of the glove while the suit was pressurized.
