SpaceShipOne Replica

The EAA has a replica of SpaceShipOne, the first private craft to fly to space (62 miles or higher) twice within 14 days.

"Replica" may be an inadequate word; this replica was made from the same molds as the original SpaceShipOne and Scaled Composites dubbed it "Serial #2". The museum also has a page regarding the replica's construction. The replica is displayed with actuators which move its wings into the "feathered" position.

The original SpaceShipOne is located in the National Air & Space Museum.
