The "USA" on the portion of the rocket protruding from the wall would have been from the RP-1 tank (lower portion) of the Saturn V S-IC (first) stage (note that there was actually no swing arm at this location on the S-IC stage). The "Boeing" sign on the wall references the fact that the S-IC which was built by Boeing (which has a facility in St. Louis, on the site of the former McDonnell Aircraft Corporation facility) at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility. | ||||
