One of the museum staff members told me that the Smithsonian forbid the museum from positioning a light to illuminate the interior of the spacecraft, so the interior is completely dark.

Trying to take a long exposure while hand-holding a camera is an exercise in futility. The full-resolution version of this is very smeared, and so I did not attempt to take any additional photos of the interior.
