Overall view of the turbopump exhaust steam duct. Hydrogen peroxide (which the Germans called "T-Stoff"), mixed with a sodium permanganate solution ("Z-Stoff"), decomposed in the steam generator, and spun the turbine to power the turbopumps. The exhaust steam then exited the turbopump and was split into one of two steam ducts which exited through fairings on either the side of the missile body near the engine exhaust plane. | ||||
