The most visually-apparent difference between a V-1 and a JB-2 Loon is the fairing on the forward pulse jet engine support: On the V-1, both the leading and trailing edges of the fairing slant backwards slightly, while on a JB-2 the leading edge is nearly vertical and the trailing edge slopes back at approximately a 45° angle.
