Detail of the hoist loop (top left of the spacecraft), used during recovery
operations.
The groove running along the top of the spacecraft is the main parachute bridle
trough, which holds the main chute lines until the spacecraft transitions from
a single point to a two point suspension system. In the bridle trough, some
ragged remnants of the white bridle cover can be seen.
Between the bridle trough and the hatch inside the recessed panel is the
flashing recovery light (although it looks like the bulb itself is no longer
present).
